Last year in Los Angeles, 250 shavees raised over $200,000 for the cause and Woerner found herself asking why more women had not been involved in the head shaving. This year, St. Baldrick’s Foundation’s national "Women Who Really Let Their Hair Down" campaign was what she was hoping for. "I’ve supported St. Baldrick’s Day celebrations for several years", states Woerner, "and last year there were no female "shavees" at the event I attended in Los Angeles. I want to "represent" for my gender! I’m not at a point in my life where I can write giant checks to charity, but I can certainly give up my hair."Congratulations to Anita Woerner and all the other women who are giving up their hair for a good cause.
