Students using their heads

Although the majority of St. Baldrick's events are held right around St. Patrick's day, there are still many that are taking place now or in the near future. Tinley Park High School in Tinley Park, Illinois, held an event on March 27th. There's a write-up in the Daily Southtown.
When she was 14, Beth Kurecki shaved her head to show support for her mother as she went through chemotherapy.

On Thursday, she cut off 10 inches of her hair to donate to an organization that provides wigs for children with cancer.

The gymnasium of Tinley Park High School was filled with cheers as 36 students and 12 teachers shaved their heads for the St. Baldrick's Day fundraiser.
